Itinerary Description

Grade: Easy
Location: India
Maximum Altitude: 3875 mts
Duration: 5 Days
The Lower Ladakh region of Sham is traversed by the Sham Valley Trek, sometimes referred to as the "baby trek" of Ladakh. The trip can be completed at any time of the year and is a wonderful way to learn about the communities and the Ladakhi people's way of life. Visit the Alchi monastery, the most well-known and substantial among Ladakh's monasteries, on the way home. The Alchi monastery, which was founded in the 11th century by Rinchen Zangpo, is home to old paintings and sculptures that imitate the Kashmiri style of Buddhist depictions. Beginners and families alike may complete this straightforward walk. The stream's transformation of the Sham Valley made it a breathtaking sight for ardent hikers and nature lovers and gave the region vitality. The Sham Valley Trek, which ascends to a maximum height of 3900 M, offers hikers a rare glimpse into indigenous culture and customs that have remained unspoiled by time and immaculate. The Sham Valley Trek is designed for those without prior trekking experience who want to learn more about Ladakh's history while passing through distinctive Ladakhi villages and breathtaking monasteries. One will see the happiness on the faces of the inhabitants, as well as how a stream of glacier water has created an oasis of life amidst arid wilderness.
