Itinerary Description

Grade: Moderate
Location: India
Maximum Altitude: 4350 mts
Duration: 8 Days
Near the base of the 7138-meter, Chaukhamba massif is the sacred lake known as Satopanth Lake. The final village in Uttarakhand, close to the holy town of Badrinath, is Mana, from whence the walk to Satopanth Lake begins. The Alaknanda River is followed from Mana to its mouth at Alkapuri, where you may walk adjacent to the glacier to go to the undulating meadows, Laxmiban, and Chakrateerth before arriving at the lake. During the Satopanth lake walk, you can ascend as high as 4350 m. The kilometre-long triangle lake features water that is emerald green and perfectly pure. It is said that Brahma, Vishnu, and Mahesh, the holy triad who represent the creator, preserver, and destroyer of the universe, focused on its three corners and still so today. The Satopanth Tal Lake Trip in Uttarakhand is a solitary trek in the Garhwal Himalayas located at the foot of the fabled Nilkantha peak and close to a number of other notable peaks. Beautiful views of Chaukhamba, Nilkantha, Balakun, Kamet, and Abi Gamin can be seen along the journey. The ideal months to walk to Satopanth Lake are May through June and September through October. In addition to its religious importance, Satopanth has grown to be one of the most well-known treks in Uttarakhand. Trekking on a glacier provides magnificent Himalayan vistas.
