Itinerary Description

Grade: Easy
Location: India
Maximum Altitude: 0 mts
Duration: 8 Days
Introduction Imagine walking in a giant park at an altitude of 4,000 meters - for two days! That?s how exhilarating the experience is on Gidara Bugyal Trek. Walking through the country?s remotest meadows is close to hiking in the Irish outdoors. The long and extraordinary walk on the ridge rewards you with the majestic views of Gangotri, Jogin, Srikanth, and Draupadi ki dadi on a clear day. The trail is secluded, attracting only a few hikers down this path. So, consider yourself lucky to hike in the pristine surroundings of the Garhwal mountains. Best Time to Trek The best time to trek to Gidara Bugyal is in June and September when the beauty of Gidara Bugyal is at its peak. The meadows are sprawling with fresh grass and tiny wildflowers. You may find a few patches of snow at the top. September is the best time to get a clear glimpse of the mountains as the sky is squeaky clean. The green hues transform to autumn colors of brown and orange. Difficulty Level Gidara Bugyal Trek is an easy-moderate trek. The trail has some steep sections with long walks through the meadows. It can be long and taxing for beginners. Also, the trek quickly gains altitude, exposing you to high-altitude mountain sickness. Hence, it is recommended for first-timers and newbies build strong physical endurance before the trek.
