Introduction :  This expedition holds a lot of appeal for those who crave to climb the height of 8000 meters and beyond. It is a double take at one go. The opportunity provided by the expedition to scale both the peaks is an altogether exceptional experience. This expedition is only for people who have extensive experience and expertise of scaling the peaks of such altitude earlier. 

Mt. Everest & Mt. Lhotse are the highest and the fourth highest peaks in the world respectively, and are part of the same range of mountain. Since the route is accessible via the Khumbu glacier, there is a fantastic possibility of an expedition to both the peaks.

Mt Everest - Lhotse combined expedition presents the opportunity of a life time. The unpredictable weather conditions combined with high altitude, severe weather conditions and avalanches present multiple and varied challenges. Very few people dare to do this expedition owing to the complexity of the trail. It is absolutely essential for the climbers to have the prior experience of scaling a 7000-meter peak or higher. Besides one needs to have good fitness of both the upper and lower body to tackle the difficulty of the expedition. No one dared to challenge their might until the last century when humans set foot on the top of these peak. From then on, the peaks have drawn number of expeditions to their exalted heights. The experience and expertise gained by humans over the decades have been instrumental in many climbers reaching the Everest summit.The footfall on the Everest-Lhotse expedition has increased over the recent years. The Everest-Lhotse expedition attracts people from all over the world. Expedition packages have been custom designed as per the requirements of mountaineers from around the world. Nestled in Khumbu region of Nepal, the Mt Everest-Lhotse expedition is one of the three most popular expeditions in the entire region. It is a difficult to climb where ascents to the camp pass through complex terrain. The footfall is prominent on the Nepali side due to the ease of arranging and organizing resources and climber-friendly policies of the government.

Detailed Itinerary


Day 1

Day 1: Arrival in Kathmandu
You will be picked up from the international airport and taken to your hotel for check-in. You will be spending the night there.

Day 2

Day 2: Kathmandu to Pokhara
You will be travelling to Kathmandu, capital city of Nepal. Here all your formalities in relation to expedition ahead will be done. From Kathmandu you will drive to pokhara. This will be the start of your expedition. At pokhara you will be briefed by our expedition team about the briefs of the expedition.

Day 3

Day 3: Pokhara to Ghandruk via Nayapul
From Pokhara to Nayapul you will travel by road and from there you will have to trek your way upto Ghandruk.

Day 4

Day 4: Ghandruk to Lower Sinua
It is a 5-hour hike from Ghandruk to lower Sinua which you will be trekking to. At Sinua we will stay for the night.

Day 5

Day 5: Lower Sinua to Deurali
This route will involve hiking and trekking along the way to reach Deurali a small village. On the way you will cross a bamboo forest and a 900m steep climb.

Day 6

Day6: Deurali to Machhapuchhre Base Camp
It is a short trek of 4 kms which involves trekking to Machhapuchhre Base Camp. On the way there will be the climb of 500m.

Day 7

Day 7: Machhapuchhre Base Camp to Annapurna Base Camp
From Machhapuchhre base camp you will proceed to Annapurna base camp while passing through the trail surrounded by mountains on all sides.

Day 8

Day 8: Annapurna Base Camp to Bamboo
From Annapurna you will be passing through Deurali and Dovan to reach Bamboo, a site as per the name with the dense vegetation of bamboo trees.

Day 9

Day 9: Bamboo to Jhinu
This route passes through Chhomrong village from where a descent will lead the path to Jhinu. Here you will get to enjoy the hot springs of Jhinu.

Day 10

Day 10: Jhinu to Pokhara via Nayapul
It will be return journey from Jhinu to Pokhara through Nayapul. From Nayapul you will be driving your way to Pokhara.

Day 11

Day 11: Pokhara to Kathmandu
You will be driving your way back to Kathmandu from Pokhara for your return journey to home.

Annapurna Base Camp Trek is a level 4 adventure on the Bikat Rating Scale.

This makes it mandatory for you to have high-altitude experience of preferably multiple treks marked at level 3 on the WIMRS. The altitude, the terrain, and the nature of the climb demand a certain level of endurance and a need for you to be aware of how your body reacts to the various features of the high-altitude environment.
