Location: India
Maximum Altitude: 0 mts
Duration: 8 Days
Introduction: Dev Kyara Bugyal Trek is a high-altitude trek. High altitude meadow trek in the Sankri range of Uttarakhand. It is in parallel to Har ki dun valley. Dev Kyara trek is nestled between two majestic valleys of Uttarakhand. Namely Supin valley and Obra valley. It is at an altitude of 4100 M. It is surrounded by the rich cultural villages of Uttarakhand. It is one of the most untouched parts of Uttarakhand. It has a gradual gradient and is not a difficult trek. You get to explore the less traveled trails of the Western Himalayas. You surely witness the unobstructed views of Ranglana, Daowdu, Bandarpoonch, Black peak, and Swargrohini. Furthermore, this trail will take you along with Dibra Gad River. Also, the Dev Kyara trek has a very colorful trail filled with flowers, wild strawberries and mushrooms. And the major highlight is to camp at Dev Kyara meadow. Best Time to Trek: The best time to trek Dev Kyara Bugyal is from April to June and then post-monsoon months. That is September and October. Spring time which means April is quite an ideal time. You will witness some residual snow meanwhile vegetation coming out. Sometimes there are chances of snowfall too at h higher altitudes. Also, the trail starts getting covered in rhododendrons. From May onwards, the whole valley turns into a green valley. Due to heat snow melts faster and temperatures are perfect for trekking. But definitely, nights are cooler. This weather is perfect for the Dev Kyara Bugyal trek. We highly recommend not to plan anything from June till August end due to the monsoon season. Uttarakhand is extremely sensitive especially, since many times floodings, avalanches, and landslides happen. Post-monsoon from September till October is a great time for Dev Kyara. The valley starts to turn golden with autumnal shades. April to June temperatures is between 15 to 20 degrees. September to October temperatures is between 10 to 0 degrees. Difficulty Level: Dev Kyara Bugyal trek is easy. It is not at all strenuous and can be opted for by beginners as well. Also, the gradient and ascent is not too difficult. Interestingly, there is a dramatic difference in the landscape at each campsite. Gradual gradient makes this trek beginners friendly. The trail takes you through the traditional village, rich green meadows, glaciers, and narrow cliffs. You get to learn about deep-rooted unique mythologies and belief systems here.
